Mr. Tan Teck Hock is our founder and Managing Director. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), United Kingdom. Mr. Tan started his career as an audit trainee in a local accounting firm in Kuching, Sarawak by assisting audit seniors in various Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) statutory audits in June 2010. He left the firm after his training by end of December 2010.

In April 2011, he joined Crowe Horwath (now known as Crowe Malaysia), situated in Johor Bahru as an Audit Assistant and was promoted to Assistant Manager for the Audit Division in October 2016. In between, he left the firm temporarily in October 2015 to further his studies and re-joined in July 2016. During his tenure, he was in charge of statutory audits of SMEs and public listed entities from various industries such as manufacturing, trading, property development, services, engineering and etc. His other job scopes included perform due diligence audits, corporate exercise cases (Eg: Initial Public Offerings, Rights Issues) and etc.

In August 2017, Mr. Tan left the firm and joined Solid Automotive Berhad and Group of Companies (“Solid”), listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, as their Financial Controller. His main responsibility was to oversee the Accounts and Finance Department, while liaising with bankers, auditors, corporate secretaries and etc. His other job scopes included assisting the Group Chief Financial Officer in corporate exercises (Share Split/ Bonus Issue, Mergers and Acquisitions and Employee Share Options Scheme), preparation of board papers, quarterly announcement and financial statements, treasury, financing, taxation and accounting system implementation matters.

Mr. Tan left Solid in October 2019 to join Xin Hwa Holdings Berhad and Group of Companies as their Chief Financial Officer. He oversaw the Accounts and Finance Department and was in charge of the financing, taxation, accounting and reporting matters. He also assist the board of directors in corporate exercises (Share Split/ Bonus Issue, Mergers and Acquisitions and Employee Share Options Scheme), preparation of board papers and quarterly announcement matters.

Subsequently, he left Xin Hwa Holdings Berhad in November 2021 and took a career break. He returned to the workforce by joining ECCO Steel Industries Sdn. Bhd. (a subsidiary of Yick Hoe Group) as their Financial Controller in June 2022. His main role was to lead as the head of Legal and Credit Control Department and liaise with lawyers on legal cases and manage the credit control matters. In addition, he also manages ad-hoc assignments (such as personal investments) instructed by the Managing Director.

Mr. Tan Teck Hock made a decision in March 2023 and left ECCO Steel Industries Sdn. Bhd. to pursue his own personal career development and started his entrepreneurship by founding Humi Fertilisers Sdn. Bhd. in July 2023 to explore the agriculture world.
